WHAT IS OSI MODEL : SEEDBED: OSI model – open system interconnection model, was the first ensign model for network communication embraced by all major computer and telecommunication companies in the early 1980s it was introduced by Hubert Zimmermann a French software engineer in which the concept of the 7 layers was provided by Charles Bachman an American computer scientist and was developed by (ISO) International Organization for Standards, which is befittingly called as X.200-OSI model GERMINATION: When there was a need for a higher level protocol the OSI model was first bounded in the CCITT program by 1980, which was soon replaced when it was only a theoretical document, due to the growth of the TCP/IP model which was code driven.
